Please contact us for details. BiographyRonald Terry Amie (1953-2002)Ronald Terry Amie, the third of five children, was born on August 29th, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada. On his way to becoming an acclaimed artist, illustrator and designer, Ronald Amie's talent and love for art first became evident at the age of three. In 1981, Ronald and his young family moved to Southern California where, among other things, Ronald would further pursue his art. Ronald Amie began his university education at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas where he remained for three years. During which time he started his professional and philanthropic work with the City of Las Vegas under the administration of then-mayor Bill Braire. Ronald Amie's work with the City of Las Vegas continued even as he moved his family to Southern California to graduate from the

University of California at Los Angeles in 1983 with a degree in Commercial Arts. Ronald went on to have a distinguished career in fine art and advertising design including teaching at UCLA and sharing his knowledge and passion at workshops for students and audiences of all ages where he lectured about fine art, graphic design and the business of art. Having lived for only a half a century remarkably he has left an enormous body of work and through his teaching, a legacy of fine and commercial art that is testimony to his Life Energy. AccomplishmentsIn 1986 Ronald Amie became a member of the GDP Design Group - a relationship that would last over 16 years. Ronald's illustrations and designs continued to evolve and are an integral part of the studio's ongoing reputation for innovative design and creative problem-solving. Clients included Major Paint Co., PetCo., Home Depot, Reebok International, The PULSE Technology Centers, Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, Skechers and Westec Security. |
